We welcome children with disabilities, special needs and specific learning difficulties provided that they are able to maintain personal autonomy and are willing and able to live within the boundaries set by the community of children and facilitators at Free We Grow. We understand all children are different and that special needs are part of a wide spectrum. An important aspect of self-directed learning and democratic education is the ability to be responsible for your own actions, therefore it would be unfair to the community if an individual could not be reasonably held accountable (in full consideration of their age too of course). We invite parents of children with disabilities, special educational needs and specific learning difficulties to contact us in order to mutually decide if there is a reasonable prospect that our space can meet the child’s individual needs.
It must be referred too that our facilitators do not possess specific qualifications or training to support children with special educational needs or disabilities.
